About the Role
White & Case is inviting applications for the role of Associate – International Arbitration at its London office. The selected candidate will work on high-profile international disputes across sectors like energy, construction, mining, telecommunications, and finance, conducting arbitrations under LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, and other institutional rules.
You will work closely with partners and contribute to advocacy, strategy, legal drafting, and expert coordination in some of the most challenging arbitration cases globally.

Format and Structure
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support in conducting complex international arbitration cases
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, procedural documents, and submissions
- Assist with pre-hearing strategy, evidence collection, and cross-examination planning
- Conduct legal and sectoral research, draft memos and case analysis
- Collaborate across practice areas and global teams
- Participate in business development initiatives and knowledge management
- Support hearings and oral arguments (advocacy opportunities available)
- Coordinate workstreams involving multi-jurisdictional teams and experts

Eligibility
Experience Required:
- 2–4 years of experience in international arbitration
- Experience gained partly or wholly at a top-tier commercial law firm
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified in English law (additional jurisdictional qualifications a plus)
- Excellent academic record from a top law school
- Strong legal reasoning and commercial acumen
Preferred Skills:
- Confident oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and capable of handling multiple deadlines
- Strong understanding of arbitration procedure and rules (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, etc.)
- Comfortable managing expert witnesses and junior team members
- Entrepreneurial mindset with drive to contribute to firm growth
