The 2nd IILM University School of Law Moot Court Competition (IILMUSOLMCC) 2025 is a prestigious national-level competition designed to enhance legal argumentation, research, and advocacy skills among law students. This event provides participants with an opportunity to engage in thought-provoking legal debates and improve their courtroom acumen.

Format & Structure

The competition is structured into multiple rounds:

  • Researcher’s Test (April 17, 2025): Participants undergo a test evaluating their legal research skills.
  • Preliminary Rounds (April 18, 2025): Teams argue their cases in front of a panel of judges.
  • Quarter-Finals (April 18, 2025): Top teams advance to the knockout round.
  • Semi-Finals & Final (April 19, 2025): The best teams compete for the championship title.

Location

The Preliminary and Quarterfinal Rounds will be conducted online, allowing remote participation. The Semi-Final and Final Rounds will be held offline at IILM University, Greater Noida.

The competition offers an impressive prize pool of ₹1,00,000, distributed as follows:

  • 🥈 Runners-Up: ₹36,000 + Trophy
  • 🎤 Best Speaker: ₹5,000 + Certificate

Eligibility & Team Composition

  • Open to law students (3-year LL.B., 5-year LL.B., or LL.M.) from recognized institutions.
  • Each institution may send a maximum of two teams.
  • Each team must comprise two speakers and one researcher.

  • Participants must adhere to the Memorial Submission Guidelines as outlined in the official brochure.
  • Accommodation and food arrangements will be provided for participants attending the offline rounds.
  • The competition follows strict adherence to anonymity rules to ensure fair evaluation.
