About the Event

On the occasion of YLCC’s fourth anniversary, the platform is thrilled to launch India’s Biggest Legal Entrepreneurship Competition, specifically designed for Indian law students. This competition seeks to spark innovative thinking and entrepreneurial solutions tailored to the legal industry. Participants will be challenged to conceptualize, design, and pitch innovative legal service models, products, or platforms that solve real-world problems.

Whether it’s access to justice, legal tech, legal research tools, pro bono frameworks, or compliance solutions – if you have a transformative idea, this is your moment to shine!

Format and Structure

The competition will be conducted in multiple rounds:

1. Idea Submission Round: Participants will submit a short proposal or pitch deck outlining their idea, vision, feasibility, and implementation strategy.
2. Shortlisting Round: Based on innovation, clarity, and relevance, selected participants will proceed to the final round.
3. Live Pitch Round: Finalists will present their ideas to a panel of legal entrepreneurs, law firm partners, and legaltech innovators.

Evaluation will be based on originality, practicality, potential social or commercial impact, and clarity of communication.

Q1: Who can participate?
A: Law students currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year program. 2025 graduating students are also eligible.

Q2: Is prior entrepreneurial experience required?
A: Not at all. We are looking for original ideas and a strong vision.

Q3: Can I participate individually?
A: Yes. Solo and team (up to 3 members) entries are welcome.

Q4: Will all participants receive a certificate?
A: Certificates will be given to all finalists. Participation e-certificates may be issued subject to discretion.

Q5: Is this event open to non-law students?
A: No. Only law students studying at recognized Indian institutions are eligible.
