About the University/Organization

Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Law (SUCL), a premier institution under the Sultan-Ul-Uloom Education Society, has been a torchbearer of legal education since 1989. Affiliated to Osmania University and approved by the Bar Council of India, the college is located in the bustling heart of Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, and has consistently championed the cause of legal literacy, ethics, and innovation in practice. The Society, established in 1980, has played a transformative role in education with the motto “Lighted to Enlighten,” nurturing generations of responsible professionals.

About the Event

To promote the growing relevance of mediation in dispute resolution, SUCL proudly presents its Intercollegiate Mediation Competition 2025, themed “Harmony in Disputes.” The event provides a dynamic platform for law students to experience the structured process of mediation, understand the nuances of alternate dispute resolution (ADR), and engage in realistic simulations of client-counsel-mediator interactions.

Participants will assume the roles of Mediator, Client, and Counsel, stepping into scenarios designed to challenge negotiation, empathy, legal reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Expect tight timelines, private caucuses, strategic dialogue—and a real taste of how modern disputes are being resolved without litigation.
