Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a reputed national law university committed to excellence in legal education, research, and community service. With several Centres for Research Excellence, including the Centre for Environment, Sustainability and Climate Justice (GCESCJ), GNLU fosters interdisciplinary legal research and policymaking. The University recently hosted the prestigious 21st IUCN AEL Annual Colloquium in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme.
This event is designed to provide a collaborative platform for legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to explore actionable strategies in environmental law and climate justice. The 2nd edition of ICCJSE encourages interdisciplinary dialogue and will feature paper presentations, roundtable discussions, and breakout sessions to inspire real-world impact and policy reform.

The event includes multiple rounds, starting with abstract submission, followed by full paper submission and oral presentations during the 3-day hybrid conference. Evaluation will be based on originality, legal relevance, depth of analysis, and alignment with the conference theme. Select papers will be published in GCESCJ’s inaugural journal issue.
