The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), established in 1997 by the State of Tamil Nadu, is India’s first full-fledged sui generis Law University. About the Event

TNDALU, in collaboration with the Indian Society of International Law and Law Teachers India, is organizing an International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and International Humanitarian Law: Navigating the Nexus of Technology, Warfare, and Global Norms. This hybrid-mode conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and professionals to discuss AI’s impact on international humanitarian law (IHL) and global norms.

Format & Structure

The conference will feature eight technical sessions focusing on themes such as:

• History and contemporary relevance of warfare epistemology
• Impact of autonomous weapon systems on IHL
• Cyber operations, critical infrastructure, and security
• The role of international organizations and humanitarian assistance
• The future of AI warfare and the balance between humanity and necessity

Researchers are invited to submit papers aligned with the broad sub-themes of the conference.

• The document must include:

• Selected abstracts will be notified by February 17, 2025.
