The Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s premier legal academic institution, established in 1947, leads this international conference initiative. In collaboration with the Kerala Law Academy (KLA), India, a pioneering institution in legal education founded in 1966, and CALSAR (Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research), the dedicated research wing of KLA, this initiative is further supported by the Global Research Conference Forum (GRCF), India’s international academic consortium.
Titled “Global Convergence: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Law and Contemporary Challenges”, the event offers a global platform for legal scholars, researchers, practitioners, and interdisciplinary professionals to discuss, debate, and propose solutions to pressing legal and socio-political challenges.
The conference will feature plenary sessions, paper presentations, and roundtable discussions on topics including public policy, environmental governance, digital law, human rights, and more. The event will run in hybrid mode (both online and in-person) and be hosted at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo.
