About the Organization

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, plays a pivotal role in formulating and implementing national policies in the digital and IT sectors. Through initiatives like Digital India, MeitY strives to empower citizens and modernize public services through technology-driven governance. To encourage active student participation in government processes, MeitY runs the Digital India Internship Scheme as part of its outreach to emerging professionals.

About the Internship

The Digital India Internship Scheme 2025 is designed to offer law students practical exposure to the functioning of a key ministry. Interns will gain hands-on experience and engage with real-time projects and policy frameworks. The internship focuses on fostering a culture of learning-by-doing, while bridging academic knowledge and administrative practice.

Event Dates

Format/Structure

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Indian nationals currently pursuing an LLB course from a recognized Indian university.
  • Must have secured at least 60% marks in their last degree or certificate examination.
• Duration:
  • Minimum of 2 months, extendable to 3 months based on performance and availability.
• Mode of Engagement:
  • Full-time, in-office internship at MeitY headquarters in New Delhi.
• Stipend:
  • A token stipend of ₹10,000/month, based on satisfactory performance and certification by the mentor/supervisor.

Additional Details

Selected interns will be assigned mentors and be involved in ongoing Ministry schemes and research. Their tasks may include drafting, legal vetting, policy analysis, research on regulatory frameworks, and inter-departmental coordination, depending on department needs.
