About the Internship

Newton School is inviting applications for a 6-month legal internship based in Bengaluru. This opportunity allows law graduates to gain real-world exposure in an agile startup environment. Interns will assist in contract drafting, legal compliance, due diligence, policy development, and legal risk management across cross-functional teams. Format/Structure

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft contracts, policies, and legal opinions
• Collaborate with business functions to mitigate risk and ensure legal compliance
• Manage and maintain legal documentation and deadlines
• Support legal operations in corporate filings and litigation
• Review contracts and corporate policies related to privacy, IP, and investments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputed university
• Prior internships in litigation chambers, law firms, or in-house teams
• Knowledge of Contract Law, IP, Companies Act, Privacy Laws, and Securities Law
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and research skills
• Strong ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
