About the Organization
The Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC), formerly known as the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee, was instituted under Article 39A of the Indian Constitution to uphold the right to legal aid and access to justice for all. Officially established in 1996, the SCLSC works to bridge the gap between quality legal services and marginalized communities, making the justice system more inclusive and accessible.
About the Internship Program
The SCLSC Internship Program is tailored for law students who are passionate about making a social impact through legal aid. It provides participants with first-hand exposure to public interest litigation, mediation, and the operational aspects of legal services at the Supreme Court level. This initiative seeks to create awareness among budding legal professionals about the importance of free legal aid and empower them to contribute meaningfully to the cause of justice.
