What is NITI Aayog’s Internship Program?
The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme provides students with a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the inner workings of India’s top policy-making institution. Selected interns will engage directly with various divisions within NITI Aayog, contributing to research, analysis, and policy recommendations. This internship serves as a platform for young academic talent to contribute to the development of innovative policies.
Internship Highlights:
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Dates: September 2024
- Location: New Delhi
- Mode: Unpaid
Purpose:
Interns will be involved in generating policy inputs, drafting briefing reports, policy papers, and performing empirical analysis. The internship will offer real-world experience with national and state-level policy formulation processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
The internship is open to students and recent graduates who meet the following requirements:
- Undergraduate Students: Must have completed or appeared in the second-year/4th semester exams of a Bachelor’s degree course. Should have scored at least 85% in the 12th class.
- Graduate Students: Should have completed or appeared in the first-year/2nd semester exams of a postgraduate course, with a minimum of 70% marks in their undergraduate program.
- Recent Graduates: Individuals who have completed their final exam and are awaiting admission to higher studies are eligible, provided they have achieved at least 70% marks throughout their academic career. The gap between the final exam and the internship start date should not exceed six months.
