About the Internship:

The Department of Forest and Wildlife is offering legal internships.

Eligibility:

– Open to students from recognized schools, institutions, and universities.

– Students pursuing law with a clear Statement of Purpose for the internship.

– Must be at least 18 years old.

– Eligible educational qualifications include:

– Under the second and third year of a bachelor’s degree in law

– Second year and above of the integrated five-year course in law

– LLM

Duration of Internship:

The internship duration is determined by the department based on the candidate's domain selection, not exceeding 90 days under normal circumstances. An extension of up to one month may be granted in cases where significant work has been done.

Stipend:

No stipend was provided.

Application Procedure:

– Apply online only on the website of the Department of Forests and Wildlife, GNCTD for the internship.

– Application should be submitted preferably 3 months in advance, specifying the desired time period.

– Indicate the area of interest.

– Maximum of 3 disciplines can be applied for.

– Submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP) within 1000 words, covering reasons for interest, relevance of skill set, and expected contribution.

– The final topic and domain of the internship will be decided as per the department's requirements.

– Submit supporting documents of qualification and/or enrollment in educational institutes.

– Provide a letter from the Supervisor/Head of Department/Principal, if applicable, indicating the student's status and no objection to the internship.

– Incomplete applications or those not meeting the criteria will be rejected.

– Applications from those who have completed internships in the department will not be considered.
