About NLSIU
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals to offer Elective Courses in the third trimester of the Academic Year 2024-25. NLSIU is renowned for its robust academic framework and encourages experts in law and social sciences to share their knowledge with students.
About the Event
NLSIU’s elective courses provide a unique opportunity for visiting faculty to engage with future leaders in law and policy. Each course requires 40 hours of classroom engagement, focusing on legal and social science disciplines. Courses may include:
- Taught Courses: Lecture-based with examinations.
- Research Courses: Focused on research, culminating in a term paper.
- Practice/Clinical Courses: Hands-on fieldwork, simulations, and litigation exercises.
Courses will be conducted in person, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM and 7 PM.

- Eligibility:
- Graduate and post-graduate degree in law or social sciences.
- Preferred: 3+ years of post-qualification teaching experience or 7–10 years in legal practice.
- Published work in the field is an added advantage.
- Format:
- Full-term elective with 40 hours of classroom engagement over 10 weeks.
- In-person delivery is mandatory.
- Compensation:
- Economy-class airfare (domestic only) and accommodation for up to 10 days for visiting faculty.
How to Apply
