About the Event

NLSIU is inviting applications from qualified individuals to offer elective courses during the July 2025 trimester. The electives span a broad range of subjects in law and the social sciences and may include taught, research, or clinical formats. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to one of India’s leading legal education spaces while engaging directly with highly motivated students.

Format/Structure

  • Teaching Modes:
    • Taught Course: Lecture + discussion, evaluated via exam.
    • Research Course: Based on scholarly engagement with term paper.
    • Clinical Course: Fieldwork, drafting, litigation simulation, etc.
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • Postgraduate qualification in law or social sciences (mandatory).
    • At least 3 years of post-qualification academic experience, or 7–10 years in legal practice.
    • Strong publication record is preferred.
  • Support & Benefits:
    • Reimbursement of one domestic round-trip flight (economy).
    • Accommodation for the first 10 days of the trimester.
    • Possibility of Academic Associate assistance for visiting faculty.

Location

All classes must be held in-person at NLSIU Bengaluru. Remote teaching is not permitted for this trimester.


Additional Details

Applicants must submit a course proposal via the official form. All submissions will be reviewed by the Academic Review Committee (ARC). Final inclusion of the course depends on both ARC approval and student registrations as per NLSIU Academic Regulations.
