NCU – National Moot Court Competition 2024

This edition of the National Moot Court Competition at the School of Law, the NorthCap University features the republic of Tokugawa which has been classified as a developing country as per the various international organizations. The current government intends to accelerate infrastructure growth for which the various state governments are also promoting the same. Taking the same vision ahead, the State of Pawainam invited a building company for developing an IT Park on the outskirts of the city which will feature a residential complex, a shopping mall, a school and a playground. One concern of a tribe residing in the vicinity of the proposed IT Park is with respect to the access of a lake which they consider to be sacred. The problem features issues pertaining to the Environment Impact Assessment, Rights of Tribal populations, concerns regarding compensation, wetlands management along with the violation of the fundamental rights of the citizens.

Eligibility

Students pursuing their full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB program (1 team per program per institute) from a university or Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India, are eligible to apply.
