About Jagran Lakecity University
The Faculty of Law at Jagran Lakecity University (JLU), Bhopal, was established in 2014 and is recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. It is one of Central India’s premier law schools, blending academic excellence with hands-on legal training. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law, supported by an extensive library, digital legal databases, and practical experiences such as moot courts and internships.
About the Event
The III JLU Memorial Drafting Competition (JLUMDC) 2024-25 is an exclusive online legal drafting competition organized by the Moot Court Committee (MCC) at the Faculty of Law, JLU. The competition aims to enhance students’ legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills by providing a simulated courtroom experience.

- Mode: Online (Memorial Submission only)

- Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in:
- Five-year integrated LL.B. programs
- Three-year LL.B. programs
- LL.M. programs from any recognized university or law college
- Team Composition:
- Each team can have one or two members.
- Cross-university teams are allowed.
- Judging Criteria: Legal interpretation, research quality, clarity, organization, style, grammar, and citation.

Format/Structure
- Participants must draft and submit written memorials based on a given moot problem.
- Memorials should follow formatting and citation guidelines (as per Bluebook 21st Edition).
- Evaluation will be based on interpretation of law, research depth, clarity, organization, and citation accuracy.

This competition will be conducted entirely online.

- Consolation (4th-6th Position): ₹500 + Certificate of Merit
