Legal Job Opportunity | Recruitment for Library Information Assistant (Deputation) – Ministry of Law & Justice, Department of Legal Affairs
The Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, has announced the recruitment for two posts of Library Information Assistant in the Department of Legal Affairs. These positions are being filled on a transfer on deputation basis. Eligible officers from across Central Government departments are invited to apply.

Library Information Assistant, Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
Number of Vacancies:
Two (subject to variation)
Pay Scale:
- Level-6 of pay matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band PB-2: ₹9,300-34,800/-)
- Grade Pay: ₹4,200/-
Location:
- Primary Posting Locations: New Delhi / Mumbai
- Liability: Transferable to any location in India.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis in the Central Government; OR
- Officers in Level-4 of pay matrix (PB-1, ₹5,200-20,200/-) with 5 years of regular service; OR
- Officers in Level-2 of pay matrix (PB-1, ₹5,200-20,200/-) with 8 years of regular service.
Duration of Deputation:
- Up to three years, extendable as per government norms.
Application Process:
Eligible and interested officers are required to submit their applications through the proper channel in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II). The applications should be forwarded along with the following documents:
- Certified copies of ACR/APAR dossiers (Performance Reports) for the last five years.
- A vigilance clearance certificate.
- Any other relevant documents required.
Last Date for Submission:
Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the issuance of this circular, which is 8th August 2024. Therefore, the last date to apply is 8th September 2024.

Applicants need to fill out the prescribed application form (Annexure-II), including details such as name, date of birth, educational qualifications, service particulars, and current post details. The application should be signed and forwarded by the appropriate authority.
