About the Positions

Hammurabi & Solomon Partners is expanding its Intellectual Property Practice and is looking to fill two key roles:

1. Trademark Agent

Experience: 2-4 years
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and provide expert legal opinions.
• Manage the filing, prosecution, and registration of trademark applications.
• Advise clients on various trademark-related matters and strategies.
• Address examination reports, office actions, and represent clients in hearings at the Trademark Office.
• Assist in handling trademark oppositions, rectifications, and provide support to the litigation team.

2. Patent Agent / Analyst

Experience: 4-7 years
Eligibility: Registered Patent Agent
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze patent documents, including technical specifications, search and examination reports, and prior art.
• Draft, amend, and review patent claims, and develop analytical memos on statutory provisions.
• Prepare legal documentation for patenting inventions and technologies.
• Develop responses to objections raised by patent examiners in accordance with the Patents Act, 1970, and the Patent Rules, 2003.
