About the Job
Equitas Bank is seeking an experienced Area Legal Manager to join its dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in non-litigation management, particularly in the HL/Lap product industry. The Area Legal Manager will play a key role in providing legal guidance and ensuring the effective management of legal risks across the bank’s operations.
As the Area Legal Manager, you will be expected to take charge of the legal aspects of product launches, business operations, and compliance processes. Your leadership will be essential in guiding a team of legal professionals and driving efficiency within the department.
Job Responsibilities
- Legal Guidance: Provide expert legal advice and support to the business teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with product launches and business activities.
- Strategic Legal Solutions: Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the organization’s objectives.
- Compliance Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal operations.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 4-8 years of experience in non-litigation management, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in the HL/Lap product industry.
- Education: LLB or LLM degree from a reputable institution.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in team management and leadership.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
