We are currently seeking a Legal Executive for our Bangalore office to join our Legal Due Diligence Team. The role will focus on property due diligence, including preparing legal scrutiny reports, providing legal opinions, and working closely with our clients to streamline their property transactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring that our clients receive accurate legal support for their property due diligence processes. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Title Due Diligence:

• Verifying property documents and conducting title due diligence to provide legal opinions on property ownership.
• Preparing Legal Scrutiny Reports (LSR) and ensuring compliance with local property laws, including RERA regulations.

1. Contract Management:

• Drafting, vetting, and negotiating contracts related to property transactions, including service level agreements and lease agreements.
• Handling property registration tasks and overseeing the completion of property-related formalities.

1. Case Management:

• Effectively managing cases and coordinating with external counsels and clients to resolve legal issues in a timely manner.
• Providing regular updates to clients and escalating cases as required.

1. Research:

• Conducting legal research on real estate laws specific to Karnataka and other states.
• Coordinating with vendors to secure relevant documents for property verification.

5. Real Estate Documentation:

• Handling property documentation and securing certified copies from sub-registrars’ offices for property transactions.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, the Legal Executive should have the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Background: A degree in law, preferably with experience in real estate law.
• Real Estate Knowledge: Basic understanding of real estate laws, especially RERA regulations, and familiarity with property documentation.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Kannada (reading and writing is essential) and proficiency in English for drafting legal opinions.
