About the Opportunity
Tata Capital is inviting applications for the role of a Legal Professional (Banking & Finance, Non-Litigation) at its Bangalore office. The ideal candidate should possess 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and be well-versed in various aspects of corporate finance documentation, title verification, mortgage and security documentation, and local state laws, especially of Southern India. Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Bangalore.

Format/Structure
Key Responsibilities:
- Vetting and legal verification of title documents.
- Drafting and negotiating loan documentation including MSAs, SOWs, and corporate finance agreements.
- Providing legal compliance support related to mortgage, stamp duty, and state-specific laws.
- Offering strategic legal advice on corporate lending transactions and guiding internal teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
- LL.B. degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience in BFSI legal functions (non-litigation).
- Good command over FEMA, corporate finance laws, and local regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in local languages and understanding of legal practices in Southern India is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and contract negotiation skills.

Additional Details
Candidates with experience in banking/NBFC legal departments, LPOs, or in-house counsel roles in the finance sector will be at an advantage. This is a strategic legal position requiring interaction with internal business teams, external counsels, and regulatory bodies.
