Internship Responsibilities

As a Legal Intern at ideaForge, you will work closely with the legal team and contribute to the company’s contract management and compliance functions. The internship will provide practical exposure to the legal frameworks governing commercial contracts and corporate compliance, particularly in the UAV industry.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:

1. Contract Review and Management:
   You will be responsible for reviewing and managing various contracts, ensuring that they comply with the company’s legal standards and applicable laws. This will include reviewing contracts such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and vendor contracts.
2. Handling the CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Tool:
   As part of your role, you will manage the CLM tool, ensuring that all contract executions are digitized and aligned with internal legal protocols. This will streamline the agreement processes and ensure seamless digital contract management.
3. Agreement Tracker Maintenance:
   You will maintain and update the company’s agreement tracker, ensuring that all agreements are logged, tracked, and easily accessible. This will involve organizing agreements based on their types, statuses, and timelines, allowing for better internal coordination and timely execution.
4. Coordination with Internal Departments:
   The role will require coordination with various internal departments, including procurement, operations, and human resources, to ensure that all agreements are processed, reviewed, and finalized according to the company’s compliance standards. You will also liaise with different functions on matters relating to NDAs, SLAs, and other service agreements.
5. Legal Drafting and Research:
   You will assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts and legal opinions, while also conducting legal research on relevant laws, particularly the Contract Act and corporate governance regulations. Your work will contribute to ensuring that all contracts are well-drafted, legally compliant, and serve the best interests of the company.

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

This internship is designed for law students and recent graduates who are looking to build a career in corporate law and contract management. Candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Currently pursuing or having completed an LLB from a recognized law school or university.
• Basic Knowledge of Contract Law: A solid understanding of the Contract Act, basic principles of contract drafting, and commercial law.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Familiarity with MS Word and Excel for managing legal documents and maintaining trackers.
