About the Event
The Legal Startup Pitching Competition 2025 is an innovative initiative by LegalWiki that aims to foster entrepreneurship and solution-building within the legal landscape. The competition invites law students and young innovators from across the country to pitch startup ideas that address real-world legal challenges using technology, policy innovation, or social entrepreneurship models.
From legal tech platforms and justice access solutions to awareness and legal literacy campaigns, the competition welcomes a broad spectrum of ideas that reimagine how legal services and legal education can be delivered in India. This is a unique opportunity for law students to step into the shoes of legal innovators, receive mentorship from experts, and gain national recognition.

Format and Structure
The competition will be conducted in two virtual rounds:
- Preliminary Round: The top 20 teams selected based on their proposals will pitch live.
- Final Round: The top 5 teams from the preliminaries will present their final pitch to a panel of expert judges.
Each presentation must adhere to a 10-minute time limit and should follow a structured pitch deck, submitted in PDF format. The pitch must include a clearly defined legal problem, an innovative solution, potential market reach, scalability, and implementation plan.
Pitch Deck Format
- Title Slide: Startup Name + Tagline + Team Details
- Problem Statement: What legal gap are you addressing?
- Solution: Product/Service Overview + Innovation
- Market Fit: Who will use it and why?
- Business Model: How will you sustain and grow?
- Technology or Strategy: Platform/Methodology used
- Impact: Legal/Social/Policy-level influence
- Team Introduction: Member roles and strengths
- Roadmap: Short- and long-term growth strategy
Prizes & Recognition
- Winner: ₹8,000 + Mentorship + Certificate Course + Internship at Manupatra
- 1st Runner-Up: ₹5,000 + Mentorship + Certificate Course
- 2nd Runner-Up: ₹1,500 + Certificate Course
Special Category Awards:
- Most Innovative Idea: ₹1,000
- Best Solo Pitch: ₹1,000

Eligibility
- Open to all current LL.B. and LL.M. students (3-year or 5-year courses) enrolled at any Indian university/college recognized by BCI or UGC.
- Participants can register solo or as a team of up to 3 members.
