Overview

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) invites applications for its Winter Internship Program 2024, offering 12 selected students an opportunity to work with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). This internship provides hands-on experience in the field of e-governance and IT, and will be conducted offline for a period of 2-3 months.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must fulfill the following qualifications:

• Current Enrollment: Must be a student from a recognized university in India.
• Academic Performance: A minimum of 60% marks in their last completed degree or certification exam.
• Eligible candidates include:
• 10+2+3 Education Pattern: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs.
• 10+2+4 Education Pattern: Pre-final or final year students of Engineering.
• Diploma/Certificate Programs: Pre-final or final year students pursuing Diploma/Certificate courses.
• 10+2+5 Integrated/Dual Degree Programs: Pre-final or final year students of integrated/double degree programs.

Note: Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant academic experience or those who demonstrate strong merit.

Internship Duration

This Winter Internship Program is scheduled to last for 2-3 months, beginning in November 2024. Interns are expected to work full-time, and the duration may be extended based on performance and the needs of NeGD.

Interns will be assigned to work with a mentor, typically a Head of Department (HOD) or a division/project leader, ensuring a high level of guidance and interaction during the program.
