About the Organization

The National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC) functions under the umbrella of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) — a premier national business chamber for women. WICCI champions women’s leadership across sectors and empowers legal professionals through advocacy, policy reform, and community engagement.

About the Event

The NLRC-WICCI is accepting online applications from female legal professionals across India to join the National Council for the 2024–25 term. This opportunity is tailored for women advocates passionate about legal reform, public awareness, and rights advocacy. Members will contribute to legal initiatives, policy recommendations, outreach programs, and engage with lawmakers to promote justice and equality.

Event Dates

Format/Structure

• Eligibility:
  • Qualified female advocates registered with the Bar Council of India.
  • 1–2 years of active legal practice or relevant legal experience.
  • Background in constitutional law, human rights, or allied legal areas preferred.
  • Experience in advocacy, community engagement, PR, or digital content creation is an advantage.
• Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborating on legal initiatives with Consortium leaders.
  • Contributing to policy drafts, rights-based proposals, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Conducting legal literacy campaigns and public awareness efforts.
  • Offering pro bono legal services and participating in legislative advocacy.
