About the Organizers
The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA), established under the Assam Act No. XXV of 2009, is one of the premier law institutions in India. The university is dedicated to fostering excellence in legal education and research, particularly in the Northeast region.
NLUJAA has played a pioneering role in developing mooting culture in the region. With a 50-acre campus along the Brahmaputra River in Guwahati, the university offers BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD programs while engaging in extensive legal research and policy development.
The Moot Court Committee (MCC) of NLUJAA organizes the Vox Anatolis Moot Court Competition, an event aimed at providing a platform for law students to discuss and debate legal issues unique to Northeast India.
About Vox Anatolis
The Vox Anatolis Moot Court Competition (meaning “The Voice of the East”) is one of the most prestigious moots in Northeast India. This competition provides law students with an opportunity to engage in legal scholarship, refine their advocacy skills, and explore contemporary legal challenges in the region.
The first three editions of the competition saw nationwide participation and focused on issues such as the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Biodiversity Laws of Assam. This year, the moot problem will address special legislative provisions for Northeast India, reflecting the region’s distinct socio-ecological balance and legal framework.
By participating in Vox Anatolis 2025, students will gain invaluable insights into tribal laws, constitutional provisions, and regional governance, making it an enriching academic experience.
