About Baba Mastnath University (BMU)

Baba Mastnath University, established in 2012 under the Haryana Private Universities Act, is a state private university sponsored by Shri Baba Mastnath Math. Located in Rohtak, Haryana, BMU is known for offering a diverse range of academic programs across law, management, pharmacy, engineering, and more. BMU’s Faculty of Law, which began in 2014, is a hub for quality legal education, producing legal professionals who have gone on to become judges, advocates, and professors.

About the Moot Court Competition

The National Moot Court Competition 2024 is a prestigious event organized by BMU’s Faculty of Law, aimed at fostering legal skills among law students. Participants will have the opportunity to test their advocacy, research, and analytical skills as they tackle complex legal issues. The competition promises to be intellectually stimulating, offering a platform for budding legal minds to showcase their talents and engage with peers from across the nation.

• Release of Moot Proposition & Registration Opens: September 10, 2024
• Last Date to Register: November 5, 2024
• Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy): November 7, 2024
• Preliminary Rounds, Quarterfinals & Researcher Test: November 11, 2024
• Semifinals, Final Round, & Valedictory Ceremony: November 12, 2024

Formatting & Registration Guidelines

• Team Composition: 2 Speakers and 1 Researcher (maximum of 3 members).
• Eligibility: Open to law students enrolled in three-year or five-year LL.B. programs and LL.M. students.
• Registration Fee: INR 5,000 per team.
• Memorial Submission: Teams must submit both soft and hard copies of their memorials by the specified dates.
• Dress Code: Formal attire is required, as per the guidelines provided in the competition brochure.

Location

The competition will be held offline at Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak, Haryana.

• Winners: INR 21,000 + Trophy
• Runners-up: INR 15,000 + Trophy
• Best Mooter: INR 5,000 + Certificate
• Best Researcher: INR 5,000 + Certificate
• Best Memorial: INR 5,000 + Certificate
