About the Viswanat Pasayat Memorial Moot Court Competition:

The Viswanat Pasayat Memorial Moot Court Competition is an annual event organized by Birla Global University in collaboration with the Viswanat Pasayat Memorial Committee, Cuttack. This competition is a tribute to the late Mr. Viswanat Pasayat, a revered lawyer known for his relentless pursuit of justice for the underprivileged. The event, held under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice Arijit Pasayat, a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, offers law students a platform to hone their advocacy skills in a competitive and intellectually stimulating environment.

Event Details:

• Date: October 2, 2024
• Mode: Offline at Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar
• Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in three-year and five-year integrated law degree courses from any recognized University/Law School/College/Department across India.
• Team Composition: Each team must consist of three members – two speakers and one researcher.
• Awards:
• Winning Team: ₹20,000 and a trophy
• Runners-Up: ₹15,000 and a trophy
• Best Memorial: ₹10,000 and a trophy
• Best Researcher: ₹5,000 and a trophy
• Best Speaker: ₹5,000 and a trophy
• Top Six Teams: Book hampers
• Participation Certificates for all participants
