About the Event

Back with a bang after a successful debut, the 2nd National Moot Court Competition (NMCC) by HIMCAPES College of Law promises to raise the bar in legal simulation and courtroom advocacy. Designed to mirror real-world legal challenges, this national-level competition brings together sharp legal minds to argue on a complex matrimonial dispute steeped in contemporary legal dilemmas—covering Section 498A IPC, domestic violence, maintenance under CrPC, and Article 21 implications.

The event offers participants the chance to hone their litigation prowess, argue before an esteemed panel, and battle it out for national recognition, trophies, and cash prizes!

  • Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year B.A. LL.B. programs across India.
  • Team Composition: 2 speakers + 1 researcher (optional)
  • Rounds: 2 Prelims, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Final
  • Language: English only
  • Submission Requirements:
    • Memorials in PDF format via email by April 25, 2025
    • Hard copies by post by April 27, 2025
    • Memorials must follow ILI citation style; use spiral binding only
  • Dress Code: Full formals (as specified in the rulebook)
