The Symbiosis International Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition (SICTAC) 2026 is designed to provide law students with a unique platform to develop and demonstrate their advocacy, research, and oratory skills in a simulated courtroom environment. Focused on the realm of international trade and criminal law, this event allows students to explore and argue on complex legal issues before a distinguished panel of judges. Participants will engage in the complete trial process—from opening statements and examination-in-chief to cross-examination and final arguments.
This flagship event aims to nurture practical legal skills, enhance participants’ understanding of international trade law, and encourage interaction with experts and peers in a competitive academic setting.

The competition will consist of multiple structured rounds, including:
Participants will be judged on legal research, drafting skills, courtroom etiquette, presentation, and the ability to argue effectively under pressure.
Each team will prepare arguments for both prosecution and defense.
