About the Moot Court Competition

The 3rd Lakhmi Chand National Moot Court Competition aims to provide aspiring law students with an excellent platform to practice advocacy, research, and legal reasoning. This competition invites participants from law institutions across India to showcase their skills and engage in thought-provoking legal debates. With challenging case problems, participants will test their intellect and legal acumen in front of a distinguished panel of judges.

Event Dates

  • Registration Deadline: September 15, 2024
  • Moot Court Dates: September 27–28, 2024
  • Preliminary Rounds & Quarterfinals: September 27, 2024
  • Semifinals, Finals & Award Ceremony: September 28, 2024

Formatting and Registration Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in three-year or five-year law courses.
  • Team Composition: Each team must consist of 2–3 members, including 2 speakers and 1 researcher.
  • Registration Fee: INR 2100 (non-refundable)
  • Memorial Submission: Teams are required to submit memorials for both the petitioner and the respondent by September 22, 2024.

Location

The competition will take place offline at the Department of Legal Studies, LCIT College of Commerce and Science, Bodri, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
