About Vishwakarma University National Moot Court Competition 2024:
Vishwakarma University, Pune (VU) is a prominent educational institution with a rich legacy in the field of education. Established in 2017 as a State Private University. National Moot Court Competition 2024 has received recognition from the University Grants Commission and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.
About the Moot Court Competition:
The 1st Vishwakarma University National Moot Court Competition aims to address contemporary legal challenges arising from rapid technological advancements. It provides a platform for law students to enhance their legal skills through simulated appellate court proceedings, including research, writing, and oral advocacy. The competition fosters an understanding of legal processes, ethical lawyering, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among participants.
Eligibility:
– Participation is open to law students pursuing the three-year or five-year LL.B. degree course in any institution in India.
– LL.M. and Diploma course students are not eligible.
– Each institution can register only one team.
– Each team must comprise a minimum of two members and a maximum of three, with designated roles as 'Speakers' and 'Researcher'.
Prizes:
– Best Team: Rs. 10,000 cash prize
– 1st Runner Up: Rs. 8,000 cash prize
– Best Memorial: Rs. 2,000 cash prize
– Best Mooter: Rs. 2,000 cash prize
– Certificates will be issued to all participants during the valedictory function.
Important Dates:
– Last Date of Registration: March 15, 2024
– Preliminary Rounds, Quarter Finals, and Semi-Final Rounds: March 30, 2024
– Final Rounds: April 13, 2024
