About S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College:

Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj, is a constituent college of the University of Allahabad and has consistently been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is committed to promoting girls’ education and has established the Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies in 2019, offering a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program affiliated with the Bar Council of India and the University of Allahabad.

About the Competition:

The 2nd Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition (JGNMCC) will be held on-campus at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj on 16th and 17th November 2024. The competition is organized in collaboration with Chandhiok and Mahajan, SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner, and SCC Times as Media Partner.

The competition consists of two rounds:

1. Memorial Round
2. Oral Rounds (Top 16 teams from the Memorial Round will qualify).

This prestigious competition is a platform for law students to showcase their advocacy skills and compete for attractive cash prizes.

Important Dates:

• Provisional Registration Deadline: 22nd September 2024
• Oral Rounds: 16th-17th November 2024

Eligibility:

• Open to students currently enrolled in any Five-Year Integrated Law Course in India, provided the institution is recognized by the Bar Council of India.
• Students enrolled in any undergraduate law course at any Central University in India are also eligible.
• Each institution can send only one team.
• Cross-institutional participation is not allowed.

Registration Details:

• Teams selected for the Oral Rounds will pay a registration fee of ₹3,000.
• Provisional registration deadline: 22nd September 2024.

Prizes:

• Winners: ₹2,00,000
• Runners-Up: ₹1,00,000
• Additional prizes for individual achievements will also be awarded.
