About the Event:
The National Hybrid Moot Court Competition 2024 is organized by the Center for Corporate and Commercial Law at NIMS University Rajasthan in collaboration with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). This competition provides a unique opportunity for students to delve into corporate and commercial law issues while honing their legal drafting and advocacy skills in both virtual and offline settings.
Participants will be tested on their ability to present arguments before a bench and draft well-reasoned legal memorials. The competition will follow a hybrid mode, with preliminary rounds being conducted online and the semi-final and final rounds held in person at the NIMS University campus in Jaipur.
Event Dates and Deadlines:
- Moot Proposition Release Date: 1st week of October 2024
- Memorial Submission Deadline: To be announced
- Preliminary Rounds (Virtual): October 2024 (Exact dates to be confirmed)
- Semi-Final and Final Rounds (Offline): To be held in Jaipur after the virtual rounds
Registration:
- Registration Deadline: 15th October 2024
- Registration Fee: ₹2500 per team
Teams can register by filling out the registration form available on the official university website and submitting the required fee before the registration deadline.
Format:
The National Hybrid Moot Court Competition will focus on various corporate and commercial law themes. Each team will consist of three members – two speakers and one researcher. The competition will be structured as follows:
- Preliminary Rounds (Virtual Mode)
- Semi-Finals and Finals (Offline Mode, Jaipur)
Participants will be required to prepare and submit memorials as per the competition’s formatting guidelines, which will be provided with the Moot Proposition.
Prize and Awards:
- Best Team: ₹30,000
- Runner-Up Team: ₹20,000
- Best Memorial: ₹10,000
- Best Speaker: ₹10,000
All participants will receive certificates of participation, and teams advancing to the semi-finals and finals will be awarded merit certificates.

- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 (main text), 10 (footnotes)
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Citations: Bluebook 21st Edition
Submission Guidelines:
- The memorials must be submitted by the prescribed deadline.
- All teams must use their assigned team codes for identification in memorials.
- Strict adherence to academic integrity is required. Plagiarism or unethical behavior will lead to disqualification.
