About the Opportunity

Career Law College of Law, Bhopal is conducting National Level Moot Court Competition. Mooting, an analogous form of oral proceeding to a court proceeding, is predominantly implemented by academic institutions that teach law as a subject. Its purpose is to assess students' proficiency in countering legal arguments. A realistic court scenario is established wherein the students assume the role of counsels (advocates), presenting arguments for both parties (plaintiff and defendant) on the basis of evidence and substantive legal questions. They engage in debate with one another and substantiate their positions before the bench, which renders a verdict in the same regard and designates the student who has performed the best. Furthermore, during the course of their arguments, the judge may inquire about factual information or any legal concept in order to assess the students' aptitude and ability to quickly adjust to the circumstances. Therefore, demonstrating their intellect and abilities is an art form.
