The committee organizes workshops, training programs, and national-level competitions, giving students hands-on experience in resolving disputes outside of litigation. With guidance from expert faculty and ADR professionals, the committee plays a vital role in preparing law students to embrace amicable dispute resolution methods.
About the Opportunity
The 1st National Mediation Competition 2025 is being organized by the ADR Committee of Presidency School of Law in collaboration with the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), Hyderabad. Scheduled for 15–16 November 2025, the event will be held offline at the Presidency University campus in Bangalore.
This National Mediation Competition is designed to simulate real-life mediation scenarios, enabling participants to develop critical skills in negotiation, client counseling, and problem-solving. Teams will play the roles of mediators, clients, and counsels to practice collaborative resolution of disputes under the supervision of experienced ADR professionals and judges.
The preliminary and quarter-final rounds will focus on matrimonial disputes, while themes for the semi-finals and finals will be disclosed after the announcement of the qualifying teams. This ensures dynamic and challenging rounds for all participants.
The event promises an enriching blend of competition, mentorship, and networking opportunities, making it a must-attend ADR competition for law students across India.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Open to all law students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program at institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Each institution may register a maximum of two teams.
- Each team must comprise three members: one mediator and one client-counsel pair (roles fixed at the time of registration).
Registration Fee
- ₹3,800 per team (inclusive of accommodation).
- Fee is non-refundable and payable only upon confirmation of slot.
- Team code will be assigned after successful payment.
