About the Event:

The Moot Court Society of the Presidency School of Law is organizing the 4th National Moot Court Competition 2024. This prestigious event aims to foster advocacy skills and legal research through realistic court simulations. Law students from recognized universities are invited to showcase their talents in oral arguments and legal writing.

Event Dates:

• Registration Deadline: October 5, 2024
• Memorial Submission: October 28, 2024
• Researcher’s Test: November 9, 2024 (Online)
• Competition Dates: November 15-17, 2024

Format:

The competition will consist of four rounds—preliminary, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Teams will argue from both petitioner and respondent perspectives. The event includes a researcher’s test, rigorous memorial submissions, and oral rounds judged by experienced legal professionals.

Location:

The competition will be held at Presidency University, Bengaluru. Participants can join in person or virtually, with hybrid arrangements for the event.

Prizes:

• Winner: Rs. 45,000
• Runner-up: Rs. 30,000
• Best Speaker: Rs. 5,000
• Best Memorial: Rs. 5,000
• Best Researcher: Rs. 5,000
• SCC Online Web Edition Subscription: For the winning team, worth Rs. 24,000 each

All participants will receive certificates and access to SCC Online for one month.

Accommodation:

Accommodation and meals will be provided for three days to participants opting for it.
