About the Event
The three-day National Seminar on “Uniform Civil Code: An Instrument of Uniform Justice” aims to unpack the legal, historical, political, and socio-cultural layers of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) debate. Anchored in Article 44 of the Indian Constitution, the UCC proposes to harmonize personal laws irrespective of religion, thereby promoting equality, dignity, and secular justice.
This seminar provides a vibrant platform for academicians, policymakers, researchers, and law students to deliberate on key legal and constitutional questions surrounding the UCC, with an emphasis on gender justice, religious freedom, and national integration.

Format and Structure
The seminar includes keynote lectures, panel discussions, and paper presentation sessions. Thematic sessions will be based on selected sub-themes, and each accepted presenter will have the opportunity to present their paper in person.
All accepted and presented papers will be considered for publication in an ISBN book by a national-level publisher. Participants will receive a seminar kit, meals, and free accommodation.
