About NHRC
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), established on October 12, 1993, under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (PHRA), serves as a statutory body dedicated to promoting and safeguarding human rights in India. NHRC provides practical learning opportunities through its various internship programs to engage and inspire students to contribute to human rights protection.
About the Internship Program
NHRC’s short-term online internship program is a two-week full-time course aimed at providing students with exposure to the working of the Commission and a deeper understanding of human rights.

- Timings: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Eligibility
Applications are invited from students across India meeting the following criteria:
- Educational Requirements:
- Students in 3rd year and onwards of a 5-year integrated law program.
- Students in 3rd/final year of a 3-year undergraduate course.
- Students of any semester/year in postgraduate or diploma courses.
- Research Scholars from any stream.
- Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Academic Performance: Consistently achieved a minimum of 60% marks from Class XII onwards.

Applications without these documents will be rejected.
