About the 6th NLIU – Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition
The NLIU – Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition provides law students with a platform to hone their client-interaction skills. Participants simulate real client-counsel interactions, preparing them for practical legal scenarios. The competition is organized by the Moot Court Association of NLIU in collaboration with Link Legal.
Previous editions of the competition have seen an overwhelming response, with participation from the top law schools in the country. The 3rd and 4th editions were conducted online due to the pandemic but were still marked by fierce competition. The 4th edition saw over 50 provisional registrations. Eminent legal professionals like Hon’ble Mr. Alok Verma (Former Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh), Mr. Salman Khurshid (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India), and Mr. Atul Sharma judged the final rounds of the competition, offering participants valuable insights into client-counsel relationships and legal intricacies.
The 5th edition, held in person, was judged by distinguished legal experts including Mr. Vikas Goel (Senior Partner, Singhania & Partners) and Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijayakumar (Former Vice Chancellor, NLIU). Their expertise and feedback provided participants with a deeper understanding of the complexities of client counselling in the modern legal landscape.
Event Details
The 6th edition of the NLIU – Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition promises to be bigger and better than before. This year, the competition will host up to 20 teams from various prestigious law schools across the country. It will be held offline at NLIU, Bhopal, from October 18-20, 2024.
With highly experienced adjudicators and judges present for the preliminary and advanced rounds, participants can expect a truly enriching and competitive experience. Slots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Awards & Prizes
All participants will receive certificates of participation. The top-performing teams will be rewarded with:
- Winners: Cash prize of INR 20,000 and certificates
- Runners-Up: Cash prize of INR 10,000 and certificates
- Best Counsel: Certificate of merit
Registration Details
- Registration Fee: INR 10,000 per team
- Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- For provisional registration, fill out the Provisional Registration Form provided in the rulebook.
- Payment and final registration details will be shared in due course.
