The National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, is a premier legal institution dedicated to academic excellence, research, and policy development. Established in 1997, NLIU has consistently been at the forefront of legal education and research in India.
The Centre for Research in International Law (CRIL) at NLIU is committed to fostering scholarly discourse on pressing global legal issues. CRIL organizes various academic initiatives, including research publications, conferences, and competitions, to encourage critical engagement with international law.
The NLIU-CRIL Article Writing Competition 2025 is an initiative aimed at promoting academic research and intellectual discourse in the field of international law. The competition provides a platform for students to explore contemporary legal challenges, develop critical arguments, and contribute to scholarly discussions.
Participants are encouraged to submit well-researched, original essays on global legal issues, focusing on international law and its various dimensions. The top submissions will receive cash prizes and publication opportunities in the prestigious NLIU-CRIL Journal of International Law and Policy.
Participants can write on any aspect of international law, including but not limited to:

✔️ Assessment Criteria: Essays will be judged on originality, research depth, argument clarity, and analytical rigor.

✔️ Originality: Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
✔️ Citation Style: Follow standard Bluebook (20th edition) citation format.
✔️ Manuscript Format: Submissions must be in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12pt font, 1.5 line spacing.
