NLU Delhi is hiring a Consultant Designer, Apply by 24 July!

Position

The National Law University Delhi (‘University’) is seeking to engage one ‘Consultant – Designer’ on a two (2) month contractual basis, for Project 39A. The consultant will be responsible for publication design of a research study on the implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and perspectives of justice among survivors and justice professionals. 

About Project 39A:

Project 39A draws inspiration from Article 39-A in the Indian Constitution on equal justice and opportunity in the legal system. We work on issues specific to the criminal justice system, and undertake pro bono litigation, research and outreach relating to prevention of torture, legal aid, forensics, death penalty, and mental health and criminal justice (for more information on Project 39A, visit www.project39a.com).

Responsibilities:

The designer is expected to:

1. Develop and implement the design and visual language of the report on implementation of POCSO Act and and perspectives of justice among survivors, their families and justice professionals.
2. Create and work on graphics suitable for the report.
3. Finalise the design and graphics/tables for the report based on feedback and in coordination with the staff.
4. Create a web version of the report
5. Suggest the printing specifications for the report that bring out the best product.
6. Coordinate with the identified printer till the production and printing of the final report.
7. Undertake any other work that may be necessary to fulfill the report designing objective.

Qualifications:

1. Extensive body of work and experience as a graphic designer.
2. Experience in publication design with ambitious production value.
3. Undergraduate/graduate degree in design and allied fields from a reputed university.

Compensation:

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The duration of the contract currently will be two (2) months. The contract may be terminated by the University before the completion of two (2) months or may be extended as required.
