About the Event

This event is designed to encourage students to engage critically with contemporary policy challenges facing India. The 1st Essay Writing Competition by the Centre for Economics, Law and Public Policy (CELP) at NLUJ, in collaboration with Erudite Legal, invites submissions on the theme “Viksit Bharat 2047: Envisioning India’s Journey to Development.” The competition aims to promote policy-oriented writing and inspire fresh perspectives on India’s legal and institutional evolution toward a sustainable and inclusive future.

Format and Structure

The event includes a single round of essay submission. Essays must be 5000–7000 words (excluding footnotes) and submitted via email in compliance with strict formatting and anonymity guidelines. Evaluation will be based on originality, clarity, policy relevance, and interdisciplinary insight. Selected essays will be published in an edited book by a reputed publisher.
