About Altus Disputatio:
Altus Disputatio, NUALS Kochi's exciting debate competition, features the Devil’s Cross format, a unique debating style developed exclusively by NUALS. The dynamic discourse incorporates twists and turns, keeping participants alert and ready for challenges.
Eligibility:
Open to students enrolled in undergraduate programs in recognized universities worldwide. Each participating institution may send only one team, and cross-institutional teams are not allowed.
Theme:
The Devil’s Cross format involves interpreting a given phrase, justifying it on the playing field, and having judges determine the central theme for the debate based on the validity of reasoning.
Prizes:
– Winning Team: ₹50,000
– Runner-up Team: ₹30,000
– Best Speaker: ₹20,000
– Best Inquisitor: ₹20,000
