The Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), in collaboration with reputed legal and ADR bodies, is organizing the 1st Arun Jaitley National ADR Competition 2025. The institute has a legacy of academic excellence, policy research, and professional training in finance, law, and governance. Known for hosting high-impact national events, AJNIFM aims to foster a deeper understanding of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms among law students across the country.

About the Event

The 1st Arun Jaitley National ADR Competition 2025 is designed to provide law students with hands-on exposure to arbitration, mediation, and negotiation processes.

This event offers an excellent platform for participants to showcase their advocacy, research, and problem-solving skills in a competitive yet collaborative environment. The competition also aims to simulate real-world ADR proceedings, allowing students to engage in case studies, argumentation, and settlement techniques under expert supervision.

Participants will get the chance to interact with eminent arbitrators, mediators, and senior legal professionals, enhancing both their knowledge and professional network.

Format and Structure

The competition will comprise three distinct segments:

1. Preliminary Rounds – Written submissions and initial oral arguments.
2. Semi-Finals – Selected teams engage in problem-solving exercises involving arbitration and mediation scenarios.
3. Final Round – Live arbitration session judged by a panel of experts.

Evaluation will be based on:

• Quality of written submissions
• Depth of legal research and analysis
• Clarity and persuasiveness of oral arguments
• Practical application of ADR strategies

Eligibility

• Open to all students currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme from a recognized law school in India.
• Each team must consist of two speakers and one researcher.

Registration Fee

₹4,000 per team (includes workshop access, competition kit, and lunch during event days).
