About the University/Organization

Hamari Design, a vertical of Hamari Pahchan NGO, is a Delhi-based registered non-governmental organization (NGO) with certifications including 12A, 80G, NGO Darpan, and CSR Form 1. The organization is deeply committed to empowering marginalized sections of society by offering them opportunities to create their own Pahchan (identity).

With strong social engagement initiatives, Hamari Pahchan also provides legal training and internships to law students and young professionals. The NGO focuses on litigation, client support, legal awareness, and legal research, giving interns first-hand exposure to the practice of law in Delhi’s courts.

About the Event

The Offline Legal Internship at Hamari Design is designed to provide law students with a practical understanding of litigation, legal drafting, and procedural work in Delhi courts. Interns will be expected to conduct research, draft legal documents, observe court hearings, assist seniors in client meetings, and handle administrative responsibilities such as case management and filing.

This program is ideal for students who wish to build strong foundational skills in court procedure, legal drafting, and client handling.

Format and Structure

Selected intern’s responsibilities will include:

• Conducting legal research on statutes, precedents, and case laws.
• Drafting legal notices, affidavits, agreements, petitions, and case briefs.
• Attending court hearings and preparing detailed notes for senior advocates.
• Assisting in the filing of petitions, applications, vakalatnamas, and affidavits.
• Maintaining and indexing case files systematically.
• Preparing and updating daily cause lists.
• Attending client meetings and drafting minutes or summaries.
• Proofreading and reviewing legal documents for consistency.
• Assisting in preparation of case bundles and handling scanning/photocopying.
• Observing courtroom procedures and advocacy techniques.
