About the Event

Treelife is inviting applications for its Legal Internship Program for the months of August to October 2025, at its BKC, Mumbai office. This internship is designed for law students who are keen on hands-on exposure to M&A, Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC) transactions, and related legal domains.

The program is intended to allow interns to work closely with the firm’s experienced legal professionals, contributing directly to client deliverables and gaining real-world experience in transaction law, due diligence, regulatory filings, and more.

Format and Structure

The internship is full-time, in-office, and based at Treelife’s headquarters in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. Selected interns will work under close guidance from the legal team on a variety of responsibilities spanning transactional work, contract drafting, client handling, and legal research.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on M&A, private equity, venture capital transactions, and commercial disputes
• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, term sheets, investment agreements, and legal briefs
• Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and support the team in preparing relevant documentation
• Carry out administrative legal tasks such as filing, organizing case documents, and compliance tracking
• Support the team during investment transactions for startups and investors — from drafting to negotiation of transaction documents
• Assist with compliance and regulatory filings under Indian corporate and securities law
• Engage with issues in company law, data protection, foreign investments, acquisitions, and investment exits

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time working hours

Eligibility
