About the Event


Sathyabama School of Law invites law students, researchers, and professionals to contribute to a peer-reviewed edited volume titled “Artificial Intelligence and Law: Governance, Ethics and Regulation.” This initiative aims to explore the legal, ethical, and governance challenges posed by the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The opportunity allows participants to submit original chapters addressing the intersection of AI and law, covering a variety of sub-themes including AI and Fundamental Rights, Predictive Policing, Judicial Decision-Making, Data Privacy, Intellectual Property, Liability of Autonomous Systems, Global Governance, and the role of AI in Legal Education and Practice. Selected contributions will be published in a scholarly volume with an ISBN and receive e-certificates and acknowledgment in the book.

Format and Structure


The submission process is divided into two phases:

  1. Abstract Submission – Word limit 250–300 words; must outline background, objectives, scope, and core arguments. Only upon acceptance will authors be invited to submit full chapters.
  2. Chapter Submission – Word limit 4000–8000 words (excluding footnotes). Must include title page, author details, institutional affiliation, and contact information. Co-authorship is allowed for up to two authors.

Evaluation will follow a double-blind peer review process, ensuring originality, academic rigor, and relevance. Minor editorial modifications may be suggested by the editorial board.
