About the Organization
International Sai Sewa Trust (ISST) is a reputed non-governmental, non-profit organization registered under NITI Aayog, working tirelessly to promote social justice, welfare, and equality among marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. With key areas of focus including child rights, legal aid, gender equality, and environmental conservation, ISST has earned recognition from Hon’ble Judges, members of NCPCR, the District Legal Services Authority, and the Department of Women and Child Development. The Trust also collaborates with the Department of Justice, Government of India, under the Pro Bono Club initiative.
About the Event
This internship is designed to empower young law and social work students with field-level insight into human rights, legal aid, and community engagement. Participants will undertake meaningful assignments that include surveys, reporting, research writing, and awareness campaigns. The program offers practical learning opportunities, enabling interns to develop communication, design, advocacy, and research skills.

Format and Structure
The internship spans 4 weeks, divided into structured learning and contribution modules:
Week 1: Fieldwork and Ground Surveys
- Conduct local surveys focusing on child labour, women’s safety, legal aid, and related social issues.
- Document findings through written reports and photographic evidence.
Week 2: Team Collaboration & Seminar
- Work in teams of 5 interns to design awareness campaigns, brochures, and social media posts (Canva proficiency essential).
- Assist in the coordination and registration process for a National Seminar on Child Rights, Development & Care.
- Eligible interns may present research papers at the seminar.
Week 3: Report Preparation
- Compile comprehensive field data and submit a detailed report reflecting observations and insights.
Week 4: Article Submission
- Write an article based on field observations. Topics may include Human Rights, Legal Aid, Child Welfare, or Women’s Empowerment. Outstanding articles stand a chance to be published.
