Responsibilities

As a Labour Law Summer Research Associate, you will collaborate with the Conflict Analytics Lab at Queen’s University and Deel Lab. Under the supervision of Professor Samuel Dahan, Deel Lab policy experts, and industry partners, you will contribute to the creation of legal AI technologies, including Deel Lab’s AI Compliance Tools. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the research team at Queen’s University for 4-5 weeks or 160-200 hours.
  • Producing publications related to labour and employment laws.
  • Assisting in the development of legal compliance technology.
  • Drafting reports on legal doctrines and annotating case law.
  • Consulting on key legal questions in the dispute resolution process.
  • Using modern research methods, including empirical methods, in legal and policy research.
